Two chairs

Current #12 named a door on the mill. This page names the chair you sit in when a trained person is in the room. Credit the sentence to Paul Marik: medicine should be done with the patient, not to the patient. Credit Metabolic Correction to Michael J. Gonzalez. A guideline can describe a population. It cannot sit in your kayak.

Current #3 already asked you to take the wheel. The helper can stay up front. This page is that seat, practiced. You decide. A physician may advise. The paddle stays in your boat.

How you keep it

Walk in as the person who has to mint ATP tonight. Sleep, food, water, movement, air, one living contact, a stop. The scan is not the whole story. The person carrying the name is more than the name.

Ask for the absolute numbers, not only the headline. Ask what happens if you wait. Ask what the helper would do in your chair. Then decide. That is not firing anyone. That is not becoming your own surgeon.

A guideline is weather

Populations are real. You are one body. What is reasonable for a trial arm may be wrong for your values, your mill, your night. “We do not have a giant trial” is not the same sentence as “it does not work.” “It is proven to extend survival” is not a sentence this page is allowed to put in your mouth. Honesty is the chair.

Sometimes the honest answer is a strong yes to licensed care. Sometimes a complementary yes. Sometimes a no, either side, because it could harm or delay what already works. The large space between those poles is judgment. It is not a stack we sell.

This is not a war on the helper

Taking the chair does not mean you go alone. A physician can stay as a helper. Coverage you funded can stay as fuel. Our Foundation can teach. None of them can generate your ATP. None of them can sleep the night for you.

Do not add, stop, or delay licensed care from this page. If a question is about your own body, take it to a licensed professional who knows you — and sit with them, not under them.

Be brave enough to stay in the chair

The first honest question in a white room may wobble. That is how a body learns. You are not behind. You are not too late. You are not walking a private road. You do not have to hate the copilot to keep the wheel.

The question

Will you sit in the chair as a partner? The answer is yours. You can take it. You can leave it. No one can take it for you.

If you take it, keep the five tonight, and keep one question ready for the next room: what does this do for the mill that still has to mint ATP in the morning? That is With the Patient.
